I often get asked how I go about determining a graphic style, fonts, and color for a particular brand. It’s always helpful to create marketing/sales tools when a brand has a strong identity with an established “Visual Guideline Platform” set in a defined document. However, more often than not, I find myself collaborating with clients that aren’t sure how to go about this process. While guiding such projects, I find the most simple way to get started is to ask questions. I am someone who listens well to insights from others and will ideate as much as needed to get a feel for what is “right” aesthetically for a project. This poster project for Filmed By Bike was a great example of this process. There were 3 rounds of designs presented. The two shown here were the ones printed.
